Special Collections is located on the third floor of Ramsey Library on the UNC Asheville campus. Our facilities include a Reading Room, archival storage, digitization stations, and work areas for staff, students, and interns.
Our Reading Room and storage areas have a dedicated HVAC system to keep temperature and humidity at archival standards – the temperature is cool in our Reading Room so plan ahead.
The Reading Room is open to researchers and has a copier and scanner for patron use. The Reading Room is also used to teach classes with primary sources to support undergraduate education at UNC Asheville.
