Special Collections is located on the third floor of Ramsey Library on the UNC Asheville campus. Our facilities include a Reading Room, archival storage, digitization stations, and work areas for staff, students, and interns.
Our Reading Room and storage areas have a dedicated HVAC system to keep temperature and humidity at archival standards – the temperature is cool in our Reading Room so plan ahead.
The Reading Room is open to researchers by appointment. The Reading Room is also used to teach classes with primary sources to support undergraduate education at UNC Asheville.
