In this video Bill Hart describes highlights from the tenth bookshelf in his personal library, where he discusses Cherokee and aboriginal history.
Hart discusses the Constitution and Laws of the Cherokee Nation (1875), books on the Trail of Tears and the Cherokee removal, various studies of the Cherokees, pamphlets about Cherokee life and customs, books on history and Cherokee crafts, copies of Bulletin of the Archaeological Society of North Carolina, and Annette Saunooke Clapsaddle’s recent novel, Even As We Breathe.
This video was filmed in the Hart’s personal library prior to donating the collection to UNC Asheville’s Special Collections. The books in the Bill and Alice Hart Collection are shelved in the same order as in the Hart’s marvelous personal library.
